There are a total of 10,000 EB-5 Investor Immigrant visas available per year. 

3,000 visas are reserved for investors who invest in targeted employment areas, which are areas of high unemployment and economically depressed areas.  The regulations allow for an investment of $500,000 in such targeted employment areas and require that at least 10 jobs be created. 

Another 3,000 visas are reserved for investors who invest in commercial enterprises affiliated with Regional Centers.  The rest of the 4,00 visas are for investors who are making investments in their own.  The terms of the investment required are dictated by the Regional Centers as recognized by CIS, with which the investor is affiliated.

The rest of the 4,000 visas require at minimum of $1 million dollars and the creation of at least 10 jobs.
